Blue Slate is a natural blue chipping sourced from Welsh Quarries. Ideal for paths and ground covering, also works well as a mulch for planting beds. It also deepens in colour when wet so is ideal for water features, as well as a variety of landscaping projects.

Local Delivery: Your delivery date can be selected at the checkout. Our delivery drivers are not able to carry your items upstairs, through alleyways or long distances.
How big are our own vehicles?
If you are ordering a bulk bag (or an item we are enable to lift by hand) we will use our crane lorry, this is approx 9ft wide including the mirrors. Our other vans and trucks are approx 8ft wide (including mirrors).
Can I track my delivery?
Once your order has been processed you will receive an email from us with tracking information.
How fast is delivery?
Local delivery orders will be delivered on the day you select at checkout.
Who will deliver my order?
Local delivery items are delivered using our own vehicles and drivers. Our delivery drivers are not able to carry your items upstairs, through alleyways or long distances. Most deliveries can only be dropped at the front of your property, providing we can park close by. Bulk bags can only be dropped to the side of the vehicle.
What do I do if I want to return an item?
If you return your items within 28 days of delivery you can receive a full refund in accordance with our refunds policy. We will refund any money received using the same method used when you originally purchased the items. Please make sure that you include the sales order or invoice with your return. When returning items to us, please ensure that all original packaging, instructions, tags etc are included as supplied to you. The items need to be returned in an unused original sellable condition.
Is there a minimum spend?
There is no minimum spend for click and collect, but local delivery has a £50 minimum spend.
How does click and collect work?
Once we have processed your order you will receive a ‘ready to collect’ email and text message. When this is received you can make your way to us, park in our click and collect bay and ring the bell or press the link in your text message. We will then bring the items to you.
Please don’t come into store until you have received your ‘ready to collect’ email or text.
Woodlands Garden Centre is a well-established large family run Garden Centre that was established in 1969. We are located near Sevenoaks in Kent along Ash Lane just off the A20 between Wrotham and West Kingsdown. Gardeners of all ages and experience are welcome to visit and talk to our friendly, knowledgeable staff, whether you have a specific need or just wish to browse. We have a large selection of garden related products available to buy in store or online. We are fast becoming one of Kent’s top garden centres.

This blue slate is a good colour somewhere between blue, purple and grey. The pieces are a good size, perfect for covering a large area. As always, you will probably need more than you first anticipate! I recommend Putting a weed proof membrane underneath the slate. This not only suppresses the weeds, but will give a more even coverage and will prevent the slate sinking into the ground ( which means you will need to use a little less )
Click and collect is a good option, as you can drive straight into the collection area and load it into your car. In contrast to larger garden centers/DIY, where there is further to have to transport it !
Definitely go for the 3 bags for £12 option if this offer is still available as you will always need an extra bag at some point …..
Wear some protective gloves, as it is quite dusty, but this all washes off in the first rainfall.
